Switches connect to the DeltaV network and operate immediately without any configuration. Simply provide the switch name and description, select a few settings, and it’s up and running. Manual configuration via serial connection is no longer required. Network addresses are automatically assigned by the DeltaV DCS or manually assigned by the user in a DeltaV 2.5 network.
